The ship only held half the amount needed to get them off the ship. This whistle still holds the original chain attachment that would've been used by a member on the iconic ship. There are reproduction whistles. We believe this one is definitely authentic due to its patina. This is a piece that is extremely rare. It has a 100 year old pea inside with the letter C stamped onto it. We believe this will help date the whistle to the year 1912!
