First edition, first printing hardcover copy of Big Enough by Will James (Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1931). Rare true first edition of this traditional western fiction novel. With illustrations throughout by the author. Moderate wear to covers, especially around the edges. Back cover stained and with corners bumped and worn with fraying in places. Slight bowing to boards and with softened corners. Several instances of split binding, which is fairly loose on the whole. Some soiling towards outer edges of many pages, most notably to top fore corner, which has liquid damage. See photos for condition.
